All too often, because of conflicts of interest stemming from investment banking relationships, Wall St. analysts have been relegated to the role of "parrots" for corporate management; compromising their ability to be objective and provide value-added insight. Today, many analysts have been schooled to focus their research efforts toward the investment banking model as opposed to making an objective research call. Unfortunately, this approach has led to Wall St. analysts playing the part of the three wise monkeys; hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil.
